... except that it is a crowning moment of stupidity.

Last Thursday, German news channel N24 was discussing how the Navy's SEAL Team Six participated in the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden. The report started out normal, but an image search snafu took the broadcast to the final frontier.

Rather than show Team Six's real logo, N24 displayed a fan-made logo for the Maquis, the anti-Cardassian rebel group that debuted on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

I knew that the state of journalism in this country isn't the best. But that just beat my most pessimistic estimations.
